Our Indica Surf School Headquarters and main base, where it all started from, is just outside of Mangalore, Karnataka. Our Surf School is location in beautiful Mulki, a short distance from the center of Mangalore City. Come join us in our beautiful Mulki surfing, SUP and aquatic sports location in amazing Karnataka!
Our Indica Surf House is located in the beautiful quiet rural surrounds 1.5km from the centre of Mulki town itself. We are surrounded by fields and rice paddies with views to the Shambhavi River. A mere couple of minutes walk from our House is our riverside property where we launch all our water sports from. It is also a perfect place to relax. Just sitting and watching the water is an excellent way to unwind and forget the rest of the world, especially watching one of the magic sunsets!
We are blessed with the most amazing aquatic playground on our doorstep. We have the flatwater of the Shambhavi River immediately in front and then the surf beach on the other side of the river. There is the river mouth a short distance away where the Shambhavi and Nandini Rivers meet and flow into the ocean.
For our flat water activities, we can head along either of the rivers and enjoy the backwaters of these pristine areas. Our flat water SUP and prone paddle sessions, kayaking, towing activities, backwater boating and just frolicking in the water happen here in these waters and there are plenty of areas to explore. We can venture to the Mulki Bridge on the Shambhavi, tour around Nadikudru island, follow the backwaters along the back road or explore the Nandini River behind Sasihithlu
SURFING
Our main base is our Mangalore Surf School. We do use a number of beaches to teach on but most of the time, we use the beaches around our Mulki Indica Surf House Accommodation as much as possible.
Sasihithlu is where we have our main base for teaching surf lessons at our Mangalore Surf School. This is very close to our Surf House. There are generally always great teaching banks for learners as well as outside banks for intermediate and above surfers.
As Sasihithlu Beach also extends to the river mouth where the Shambhavi River meets the ocean, there can be some excellent performance waves as well to be found at the river mouth. We are also fortunate that when we find better conditions for different levels of surfer, we can be mobile with our Surf Van. Our Mangalore Surf School can move around along the Mangalore Coast with lessons also occurring at Panambur and Mulki Beaches. There can also be some great waves at Surathkal, Chithrapura and Hosabettu Beaches as well.
